Today, CLC
consists of nine independent law firms with lawyers qualified to practice law
in every jurisdiction in Canada.
CLC’s
structure is specifically designed to serve and co-ordinate the client’s needs
on both a regional and a national basis.
This combined regional and national focus allows
co-ordinated defence strategies to be developed and followed in multiple
jurisdictions throughout the litigation process. In cases of national significance, clients are offered unified
and consistent advocacy while receiving the highest level of local knowledge in
each venue. It also gives clients the
option of co-ordinating the provision of national legal services through one
central contact, or alternatively, through individual contacts at the local
level. At the same time, CLC provides
communication management within the organization together with standardized,
consistent legal services supported by a national organization of top quality
professionals.
In providing
these services, CLC’s member firms are at the forefront in developing
computerized reporting and file management to increase efficiency and to
control costs.
